2. Check rings for sticking. Remove and
check rings for wear (e.g. ring end gap) or
damage; replace the rings if questionable.
3. Clean and inspect the piston, including the
ring land and wrist pin snap ring grooves.
Check all parts for wear or damage and
replace
if questionable.
4. Clean the crankcase surfaces with Gel Seal
and Gasket Remover.
5. Check that the ring end gap is between
.006" and .016"(.152 .406mm) with
.030"
(.762mm) as the wear limit.
