through7inCheckingtheEngine-OilLevel
(page21).
2.Removetheexistingoillter(Figure37).
3.Applyalightcoatofcleanoiltothenewlter
gasket.
4.Threadthenewlterontothelteradapteruntil
thegasketcontactsthemountingplate,then
tightenthelteranadditional1/2to3/4turn
further(Figure37).
Note:Donotovertightentheoillter.
5.Fillthecrankcasewiththespeciedoil(Figure
36).
6.Startandruntheenginetocheckforleaks.
7.Shutofftheengineandchecktheoillevel.
Note:Ifnecessary,addthespeciedoilinto
theengineuntiltheoillevelisattheFullmark
onthedipstick.
