withamilddetergent.Youcanusearag.
Important:Pressurizedwaterisnot
recommendedwhenwashingthemachine.Itmay
damagetheelectricalsystem,loosenimportant
decals,orwashawaynecessarygreaseatfriction
points.Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,especially
nearthecontrolpanel,engine,andbattery.
Storage
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutoffthe
engine,engagetheparkingbrake,andremove
thekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Cleandirtandgrimefromtheentiremachine,
includingtheoutsideoftheenginecylinder-head
nsandblowerhousing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachine
withmilddetergentandwater.Donotuse
high-pressurewatertowashthemachine.
Pressure-washingmaydamagetheelectrical
systemorwashawaynecessarygreaseat
frictionpoints.Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,
especiallynearthecontrolpanel,lights,
engine,andthebattery.
3.Inspectthebrakes;refertoInspectingthe
Brakes(page47).
4.Servicetheairlter;refertoServicingtheAir
Filter(page34).
5.Greasethemachine;refertoLubrication(page
30).
6.Changetheengineoilandlter;referto
ChangingtheEngineOil(page35)and
ChangingtheEngine-OilFilter(page36).
7.Checkthetirepressure;refertoCheckingthe
TirePressure(page22).
8.Flushthefueltankwithfresh,cleandieselfuel.
9.Removethebatteryfromthechassis.
Note:Donotconnectthebatterycablestothe
batterypostsduringstorage.
Important:Thebatterymustbefully
chargedtopreventitfromfreezingandbeing
damagedattemperaturesbelow0°C(32°F).
Afullychargedbatterymaintainsitscharge
forabout50daysattemperatureslower
than4°C(40°F).Ifthetemperatureswillbe
above4°C(40°F),checkthewaterlevelinthe
batteryandchargeitevery30days.
10.Checkandtightenallbolts,nuts,andscrews.
Repairorreplaceanypartthatisdamaged.
11.Paintallscratchedorbaremetalsurfaces.

12.Storethemachineinaclean,drygarageor
storagearea.
13.Removetheignitionkeyandputitinasafe
placeoutofthereachofchildren.
