9. Tighten the nut on the slotted on the idler plate (Fig.
496).

10. Tighten the pivot bolt (Fig. 497).
11. Reinstall belt covers.
Replacing the Mower Deck Drive Belt
Z 100 Series
1. Disengage the PTO, move the motion control levers
to the neutral locked posistion, and set the parking
brake.
2. Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for all
moving parts to stop before leaving the operating
position.
3. Remove the belt covers over the outside spindles.
4. Loosen the outer nut on the spring eye bolt (Fig.
498).
