Brake Shaft Installation
Reverse the order of removal.

6. Remove the brake shaft from the unit (Fig. 114).

7. Inspect the brake shaft and ange bearings for
excessive wear.

3. With the mower deck in the transport position, place
a 4” x 4” block under each corner of the deck. Lower
the mower deck onto the support blocks to remove
the weight from the support chains (Fig. 116).
1. Park the machine on a level surface, disengage the
blade control (PTO), and turn the ignition key to OFF
to stop the machine. Remove the ignition key.

2. Remove the lower stop bolt from the deck lift plate
(Fig. 115).
