Using the TV’s features (General)
Bass, Treble and Balance
The sound controls are accessible in digital and analogue
modes.
1. Press MENUSOUND and

Stable Sound
The Stable Sound feature limits high volume levels in
order to prevent the extreme changes in volume that
can occur when channels are changed or a programme
switches to a commercial.

On or Off.
Dynamic Range Control
This feature allows control of audio compression for
some digital TV programmes (MPEG-1 and MPEG-2
audio programmes are not supported).

2. Dynamic Range Control,
On or Off.
Voice Enhancement
Voice Enhancement emphasises the frequency range of
the speaker’s voice, making it easier to catch what they
are saying.
1. Press MENUSOUND and

to enter the submenu.
2. Advanced Sound Settings
and press
to enter the submenu.
3. Voice Enhancement, and
On or Off.

Digital Noise Reduction
DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) enables you to “soften”
the screen representation of a weak signal to reduce the
noise effect.
1. In the PICTURE
DNR.
2. Off, Low, Middle or High.
Note: This function is not available for HDMI input.
MPEG NR
When watching a DVD, the compression may cause
some words or picture elements to become distorted or
pixelated.
Using the MPEG NR feature reduces this effect by
smoothing out the edges.
1. In the PICTURE
MPEG NR.
2. Off, Low, Middle or High.
Sound Adjustment
Volume
Press or to adjust the volume.
Sound Mute
Press on the remote once to turn the sound off and
again to cancel.
Dual
If a programme or film is being broadcast with a
soundtrack in more than one language, the Dual feature
allows selection between them.
1. Press MENUSOUND and

to enter the submenu.
