G-LINIUconnection
This" comleetien is necessary for the TV Guide Go Screen TMsystem to work with your cable box to receive program listings and to
enable TV Guide On Screen recordi#g features with your VCR.
Note: This connection is- not necessary for A/V ND or D-VNS recording devices. See pages 23 and 50 for further details.
After you cormect your devices to d_eTV, you will need to connect the G-LINK cable (either of the dual-wand IR blaster cables
included with your TV) fTomyour VCR and Cable box (if applicable) to the G-LINK jack on the TV.

The G-LINK comlecfion is necessaryto em_blethe following fbaturesof your TV Guide On Screen_' system:
" If'you have a Cable box, #m need to com_ecEthe G-LINK cable f'rom the Cable box to the G-LINK jack to receive the TV Guide
On Screen system's program listings for your Cable service.
If you have a VCR, you need to connect the G-LINK cable from the VCR to the G-LINK ja& to use the TV Guide On Screen
system's recording fbatures.
Te connect to the G-LINK iack:
1. Locate the infi'ared sensor on the trent of your VCR or
Cable box. The sensor is marked on some devices2
Aligu one of the G-LINK (IR blaster) cable's wands about
1 inch away fi'om the infrared sensor on the front of the
VCR arid acEach it using double-sided mounting tape.
If you have a Cable box, acEach the other wand iri a similar
