Bandwidth Control
9. 1. Set Bandwidth Control of the Network
Bandwidth control allows you to configure the upstream and downstream bandwidth
of the network, and the combined throughput should not exceed 1,000,000 Kbps. For
optmial bandwidth control, please select the correct Line Type and consult your ISP for
the total allowed bandwidth for upstream and downstream.
1. Visit http://tplinkmodem.net, and log in with your TP-Link ID or the password you set
for the router.
2. Go to Advanced > Bandwidth Control.
3. Enable Bandwidth Control.
4. Choose your Line Type.
5. Input the total upload and download speed through the WAN port in the Total
Upstream Bandwidth and Toal Downstream Bandwidth fields.
6. (Optional) Enable Telephony Bandwidth Guarantee to ensure sufficient bandwidth for
Telephony service.
7. Click Save.
9. 2. Create a Bandwidth Control Rule for an IP Range
You can add a controlling rule to limit the bandwidth available for IP ranges.
1. Visit http://tplinkmodem.net, and log in with your TP-Link ID or the password you set
for the router.
2. Go to Advanced > Bandwidth Control.
3. Click Add in the Controlling Rules area.
