Lightning protection requirements
Indoor dustproof
temperature humidity
electromagnetic interference
ÿ Regular dust removal to keep indoor air clean; ÿ Confirm that the
equipment is well grounded to ensure smooth transfer of static electricity.
To ensure long-term stable operation of the switch and extend its service life, please maintain a certain temperature and humidity in the environment. Too high or too low
ambient humidity can easily cause leakage, deformation and even corrosion of metal parts in insulating materials. Excessive temperature will accelerate the aging process of
insulating materials and seriously affect the service life of equipment. The normal operating and storage temperature/humidity of this series of switches are as follows in Table 2-1.
Electromagnetic interference will affect electronic components such as capacitors and inductors inside the equipment through conduction methods such as capacitive coupling,
inductive coupling, and impedance coupling. To reduce the adverse effects of electromagnetic interference factors, please pay attention to the following matters:
Dust falling on the surface of the switch will cause electrostatic adsorption and cause poor contact of the metal contacts. Although the device itself has taken certain anti-static
measures, when static electricity exceeds a certain intensity, it will still cause fatal damage to the electronic components on the internal circuit board. To prevent static electricity
from affecting the normal operation of the device, please pay attention to the following matters:
ÿ Take electromagnetic shielding measures if necessary.
ÿ Confirm that the rack and equipment ground terminals are in good contact with the earth; ÿ Confirm that the
power socket is in good contact with the earth;
ÿ The power supply system takes necessary measures to resist grid interference;
ÿ Switches should be kept away from high-frequency, high-power, and high-current equipment, such as wireless transmitters;
When a lightning strike occurs, a strong current will be generated in an instant, and the air on the discharge path will be instantly heated to 20,000 degrees Celsius. The
instantaneous high current is enough to cause fatal damage to electronic equipment. In order to achieve better lightning protection effect, please pay attention to the following matters:
