WARNING
Do not carry a passenger unless they
are tall enough to reach the footrests
provided.
A passenger who is not tall enough
to reach the footrests will be unable
to sit securely on the motorcycle and
may cause instability, leading to loss of
motorcycle control which could result
in serious injury or death.
WARNING
Your passenger should be instructed
that they can cause loss of motorcycle
control by making sudden movements
or by adopting an incorrect seated
position.
The rider should instruct the
passenger as follows:
- It is important that the passenger
sits still while the motorcycle is in
motion and does not interfere with
the operation of the motorcycle.
- To keep their feet on the passenger
footrests and to firmly hold onto
either the seat strap or grab rails
(if equipped) or the rider's waist or
hips.
- Advise the passenger to lean with
the rider when traveling around
corners and not to lean unless the
rider does so.
Failure to follow the advice above
may lead to loss of motorcycle control
which could result in serious injury or
death.
WARNING
Do not carry animals on your
motorcycle.
An animal could make sudden and
unpredictable movements that may
lead to loss of motorcycle control
which could result in serious injury or
death.
