7. Re-install mirror into optics block
and fasten it back down with the
two Phillips head screws.
8. Remove the Phillips head screw
holding the laser beam dump
in place.
9. Thread the screw you removed into one of the threaded holes in the
beam block. With a needle nosed pliers, gently pull the beam block
out of the optics block. Beam Dump removal tool (S7000150) can
also be used.
10. Inspect beam dump
surface. If dirty, blow off
with clean dry
compressed air. If it still
does not appear clean,
wipe gently with a soft
lens cleaning tissue
dipped in isopropyl
alcohol.
11. Inspect O-ring on mirror for cracks or abrasions and replace if
necessary. Use Beam Block O-ring from service kit (S7000031).
12. If the O-ring is dry, apply a small amount of vacuum grease to the
outer surface. Re-install beam dump and fasten in place with the
Phillips head screw.
