Esc sequences
Special codes used to control printer functions, such as a
carriage return or line feed, instead of printing characters.
Default
Value settings or settings that take effect when a device (such
as a printer) is turned on, reset, or initialized. See also factory
settings.
Dot matrix
A method of printing in which each letter or symbol is formed
by a pattern (matrix) of individual dots.
Draft
The print modes used by your printer when you select Draft as
the font. The Draft font uses fewer dots per character for faster
printing. See also letter quality.
ESC/P
Abbreviation for PROTON standard code for printers, the
system of commands your computer uses to control your
printer. It is standard for all PROTON printers and supported
by most application software for personal computers.
ESC/P2
The enhanced version of the ESC/P printer command language.
Factory settings
The configuration settings for a computer or printer that are set
at the factory. If the device reverts to these settings when
initialized, they are called default settings, see also default.
