Printing or printout quality problems
Problems in printing with computer
1. Check for proper connection of interface cables
between the printer and computer. For more
information see chapter 3 on “Connecting the printer
to your computer”
2. Make sure the interface cable meets the requirements
of both the printer and computer.
3. Make sure the software is properly set up for your
printer.
4. If necessary, install or reinstall the printer driver
software. For more information see chapter 3 on
“Installing the driver”
The printout is faint
1. Set the paper thickness lever to correct position. For
more information on paper thickness lever, see
chapter 4.
2. If necessary, move the paper thickness lever to a lower
setting.
3. Insert the ribbon properly. For more information see
chapter 3 on “Installing the ribbon cassette”.
4. Change the ribbon if found defective.
The printout has gaps
1. Make sure the paper thickness lever is set correctly.
2. Set the paper thickness lever to match the thickness
of your paper.
