9.1. General information
The UM motorcycles “Renegade II 125 series EFI” have a “Mikuni” EFI system with the following
components:
• ECU (Engine Control Unit)
• Electric fuel pump
• Throttle position sensor
• Oxygen sensor
• Injector
Note:
This injection system can be diagnosed with any iOBD2 standard scanner.
Example: XTOOLS iOBD2 Bluetooth
iOBD2 provide by XTOOLS is a new practical car and motorcycle diagnostic tool jointly developed
by Shenzhen XTOOLTECH Co Ltd and USA XTOOLTECH LLC. It communicates with iPhone or
Android devices by Bluetooth. It is compliant with OBD II/EOBD specification. It reads the
recorded data on the car or motorcycle ECU by the iOBD2 app. When the car or motorcycle is
running, it reads the real-time engine data, such as engine speed, ignition time, fuel trim, water
temperature etc.
9.2. Steps to make the diagnostic
9.2.1. Installation of IOS version – Install by Smartphone
• Open the App store, and search “iOBD2”;
download the app and install it or install
using iTunes.
• When installing the app, please do not
delete data or format memory card,
otherwise it may
lead to app installation
fail. When the installation has finished,
click “open” to run the app (before
running the app, please set up Bluetooth
connection, otherwise it cannot read the
data).
• The iOBD2 shortcut will appear on the
