Terminal Screen Next Step

If the terminal can’t read the tap or the card was

tapped incorrectly, the screen will display an ‘Unable

to read card, please tap again’ error message.

This prompts the cardholder to tap the card again.

If the inserted card is not read or is faulty then

a warning message will appear on the screen.

This will prompt the cardholder to swipe

the card instead.

Note: The terminal will prompt to swipe the card up

to three times if the terminal fails to read the chip card.

If a faulty card is swiped, then the ‘Unable to read

card’ message will appear.

This prompts the user to swipe the card again.
