Software updates
Your View21 box will display a pop-up
notification when a new, updated version of
the software is available. Installing the latest
software versions lets you use the latest
features offered for your View21 box.
Check the News app in the Apps Portal
regularly to find out about the availability
of software updates.

Open a browser on a computer with
a USB port.

Download the ‘software update’ file from
the View21 website: view21.com/support

Save the downloaded file to a USB stick that
is fully formatted and empty i.e. no other files
are present.

With the View21 box turned on and fully
running, insert the USB stick into the USB
slot at the back of the View21 box.

Wait about 15 seconds. A pop up notification
should appear giving you the option to accept
the software update. Press to continue.

Another pop up will appear notifying you
of the next steps to follow.

After several minutes your View21 box
will reboot having installed the new
software update.
The USB stick must be fully formatted before
you copy the files to it. There should also
be no other files on the USB stick, only the
View21 software update files.
After completing this first update, subsequent
software updates can be performed exclusively
on the View21 box. Your View21 box will need
to be connected to the internet through a
broadband-enabled router with either WiFi or
an Ethernet cable.
