10. F A Q
• The operator doesn’t give out address DNS servers and without DNS server’s it
is impossible to connect to server dyndns.org. In log system will be this message:
– DynDNS daemon sta r ted
– Error r e s o l v i n g hostname: no such file or directory
– Connect to DynDNS server f a i l e d
- IPSec tunnel is establishing but communication doesn’t function.
• Probably it is badly set up r o u t e conditionals of connected equipment or it is bad set
up G W .
- FTP doesn’t function.
• R o u t e r doesn’t support the active FTP mode, supports the passive mode only.
- RS232 doesn’t function.
• It is necessary to v e r i f y present the e x p a n s i o n port RS232.
• V e r i f y present the e x p a n s i o n por t RS232 in r o u t e r configuration in menu „external
port“, or v e r i f y connection locally b y the help T e l n e t - H y p e r t e r mi n a l .
- L2TP or IPSec isn’t establishing.
• V e r i f y the r e a s o n in the log system.
- I switched the router to offline mode b y the SMS message, but the router is in online mode
af ter re s ta r t.
• Control SMS messages don’t change the r o u t e r configuration. F o r e x a m p l e , if the
r o u t e r is switched to offline mode b y SMS message the r o u t e r will be in this mode
up to next r e s t a r t . This behaviour is the same fo r next all control SMS messages.
