high concentrations and bad
ventilation.
The room size must be at least
275 ft³ per 1 lb of CO

. This
specication is based on the
occupational health and safety
information regarding the safe
operation of beverage-dis-
pensing systems (Arbeitssich-
erheitsinformation (ASI) 6.80
“Sicherer Betrieb von Getränk-
eschankanlagen”) and on the
rules for the operation of bever-
age-dispensing systems (DGUV
Regel 110-007 “Verwendung
von Getränkeschankanlagen”).
If local regulations differ, the
operating company/operator
must comply with these local
regulations.
• Observe the operating in-
structions for handling CO
2
compressed gas cylinders (see
“Safety instructions for using
CO
2
gas cylinders” in the im-
mediate proximity of the CO
2
bottle).
• Ensure that the CO
2
bottle
size calculated from the spa-
tial volume of the installation
room is not exceeded. Contact
customer service in the case
of questions about the size of
the CO
2
bottle (see “Customer
services” on back page).
• In the case of a suspected in-
crease in CO
2
concentrations,
do not inhale, exit the danger
area and sufciently ventilate
the place of installation.
• Dissipate the CO
2
in accor-
dance with state and local
regulations.
• Always run hoses so that they
cannot come into contact
with heat sources, moisture,
oil, sharp objects, sharp edg-
es etc. Do not bend or pinch
hoses.
• Do not touch a frozen CO
2
bottle.

pressure!
In the case of improper han-
dling, the pressure within the
CO
2
bottle can lead to serious or
even fatal injuries.
Before replacing the CO
2
bottle:
• Establish a pressureless
state. Also discharge residual
pressure.
• Always ensure that the un-
intended escape of CO
2
is
prevented.
• Have defective parts to which
pressure is applied during
normal operation immediately
replaced by a trained person.
• Always secure CO
2
bottles in
an upright position and secure
against falling.
• Make sure that the sticker
“Safety instruction for using the
CO
2
gas cylinder” is placed in
the immediate vicinity of the
CO
2
bottle.
• Always observe the safety
notes on the CO
2
bottle.
Important safety instructions. Please read these

Residual risks
The following section species
residual risks that could occur
even when the water dispenser
is used as intended.
Danger to life from electrical
current!
Contact with parts carrying live
voltage is an immediate danger
to life due to electrical shock.
Damage to the insulation or indi-
vidual components can therefore
be life-threatening.
• If the insulation is damaged,
switch off the power supply
immediately and arrange for
repair work. Please contact
customer service in this case.
(see back page)
• Never bypass or switch off
fuses.
• Keep parts carrying live volt-
age away from moisture to
prevent the risk of short circuit.
Never pull the plug using the
cord or with wet hands.
• Always run the cable so that
it cannot come into contact
with heat sources, moisture,
oil, sharp objects, sharp edges
etc. Do not clamp or fold the
cord.
• If the power cord is dam-
aged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service
agent, or similarly qualied
persons in order to prevent a
hazard.
• Ensure that the plug remains
readily accessible to be able to
disconnect the appliance from
the electrical outlet.
• Unplug the appliance prior to
cleaning or maintenance work.
In the process, ensure that the
user is able to verify at each
access point that the appliance
still remains unplugged.
• Ensure protection of the appli-
ance by means of a suitable
ground-fault circuit interruptor.
Risk due to hot water!
Hot water may cause severe
scalding.
• Ensure that there is no extrem-
ity below the nozzle of the tap
when dispensing hot water.
• Keep children out of reach of
the water dispenser.
