This alignment is extremely important. Improper installation can result in personal injury,

9. Remove the retaining nuts and washers from the end of the tank retaining cables and remove
the threaded end from the tank cradle.
10. Install the tank on the cradles, insert the retaining cables and install the washers and nuts, but
do not tighten the cables.
11. Adjust the brackets horizontally and verticall so that the tank is parallel and level with the
frame and the ground. This is important to ensure correct oil scavenge.
12. Rotate the tank so that it aligns as shown in Figure 16. Tighten the outer tank retaining cable
nuts until the tank is secure on the support brackets, but still allow it to move.

NOTE
Do not tighten the tank or brackets until you have installed the lines. You will need to be
able to adjust the position to adapt for the length of the hoses.
