Failure in the engine management
The indicator light comes on yellow. There is a
fault in the engine management.
- Have the engine checked immediately by a
specialist workshop.
Limited engine speed
The control lamp lights up yellow.
The engine speed has been limited to prevent the
engine from overheating.
The speed is shown on the instrument panel display.
The limitation of the scheme is cancelled in the
following cases:
— The engine temperature is no longer in a
critical range.
— The foot is taken off the accelerator.
together with engine speed limitation
due to engine management failure
The control lamps light up yellow.
The speed limitation has been activated due to
a fault in the engine management.
— Make sure that you do not exceed the indicated
speed.
— Have the engine checked immediately by a
specialist workshop.
Vehicle key not recognised
An indication to this effect appears in the
instrument cluster display.
If the button cell battery in the vehicle key is almost empty, it is
The key may not be recognised.
An emergency start must be carried out:
— Depress the brake pedal and hold it down.
— Immediately after pressing the ignition and start
button, hold the key next to the right-hand
steering column trim.

— The ignition switches on automatically and, if
necessary, the engine starts.
Engine cannot be switched off
The engine does not switch off when the ignition
and starter button is pressed briefly.
An emergency disconnection must be carried out:
— Press the on/start button twice within a few
seconds or hold it down for one long press.
The engine switches off automatically → p. 99.
Unable to start the engine
If an unauthorised vehicle key is used
or there is a fault in the system, the instrument
cluster display shows a message to this effect.
— Use an authorised key.
— If the fault persists, call in qualified personnel.
Unable to start the engine
It is not possible to start the engine by briefly
pressing the ignition and starter button with the
brake or clutch pedal depressed.
There is a malfunction in the starting system.
— Press the ignition button and start until the
engine starts.
— Seek the assistance of specialised personnel.
