Securing a child seat with a safety belt
1.
Please note and follow the instructions
→ p. 44.
2.
Adjust the height of the seat belt so that the
seat belt webbing fits the child seat naturally,
without slipping too far. If a rearward-facing
child seat is fitted, set the belt height adjuster
to the lowest position.
3.
Position the seat belt and guide it through the
child seat according to the seat
manufacturer's instructions.
4.
Make sure that the seat belt is not twisted.
5.
Insert the belt tongue into the belt buckle of
the corresponding seat until it audibly clicks
into place.
Child seats of the "semi-universal" category which
are secured with a safety belt and a support leg are
not permitted to be fixed in the centre rear seat.
