Dial switch (13)
The individual measuring functions are selected via a rotary control. The automatic
range selection "AUTO" is active for some measuring functions. The appropriate meas-
urement range is set individually for each application.
If the multimeter switch is set to "OFF", the meter is switched off. Always turn the meter
off when it is not in use.

The following symbols and information are present at the device or in the display:
AUTO Automatic measurement range selection is active
Automatic deactivation is active
OFF Switch position "off" or function deactivated
NCV Contact-free alternating voltage recognition (only V-AC)
True RMS True root mean square
Data-Hold function is active
HOLD Call/deactivate data hold function
MAX-MIN Max-Min function is active
MAX Display of the maximum value of the current measuring series
MIN Display of the minimum value of the current measuring series
REL Setting relative value measurement and reference values (not possible at continuity test, diode test,
frequency and NCV)
