10. Additional Functions
The following additional functions can be used to use special measuring functions.
a) Automatic Power-Off
The DMM turns off automatically after approx. 15 minutes if no button or dial switch is pushed. This function protects
the batteries, saves battery power and extends the operating time.
Approx.oneminutebeforedeactivation,vebeepsareemitted.Pushinganybuttonwilldelaydeactivationbyanother
15 minutes.
If no button is pushed, the device will switch off with a long signal.
To reactivate the DMM after automatic deactivation, push any button (apart from button "MAX MIN"). Actuation of
the dial switch beyond the position "OFF" will also reactivate the meter. Reactivation takes place after approx. 1 -
2 seconds.
The active automatic deactivation was displayed with the icon " ".
Deactivating automatic deactivation
For permanent measurements, automatic deactivation must be deactivated. Switch off the meter for deactivation.
Keepthebutton"SELECT"pushedandswitchonthemeterviathedialswitch.Whenswitchingon,therewillbeve
warning sounds and the icon for automatic deviation will no longer be displayed.
Themeterremainsonuntilitisswitchedoffmanuallyoruntilthebatteriesareat.Afteractivation,theautomatic
deactivation is activated again.
b) HOLD Function
The HOLD function keeps the currently indicated measured value in the displays to allow you to read or record it
easily.
If you test live wires, make sure that this function is deactivated before the measurement starts.
Otherwise, the measurement will be incorrect!
ToswitchontheHoldfunction,pushthe"HOLD"button(7);asignalsoundconrmsthiscommandand"H"appears
on the display.
In order to switch off the HOLD function, push the "HOLD" button again or change the measurement function.
