Proceed as follows to measure alternating currents (A ):
- Switch on the DMM at the dial switch (13) and select the measuring range
"A ". "A" and the symbol AC for alternating current now appear in the
display.
- The display is automatically set to zero when the current probe is closed
inalternating currentmeasuring range.If astrong magneticeldinthe
environmentinuences thedisplay,thisundesireddisplayvaluecanbe
suppressed with the function "REL" (relative value measurement).
- Push the current probe opening lever (4) and open the current probe this
way.
- Reach around the individual conductor to be measured and close the cur-
rent probe again. Position the conductor centrally between the two triangu-
lar position icons at the pliers.
- The measured alternating current is displayed.
- Remove the current probe from the object to be measured after comple-
tion of the measurement and switch off the device. Turn the dial switch to
"OFF".
c) Voltage Measuring "V"
Proceed as follows to measure alternating voltages "AC" (V ):
- Switch on the DMM and select measuring range "V ".
- Plug the red measuring line into the V measuring jack (10) and the black measuring
line into the COM measuring jack (9).
- Connect the two measuring prods to the object to be measured (battery, mains volt-
age, etc.).
The voltage range "V DC/AC" shows an input impedance of >10 MOhm.
- Remove the measuring lines from the object to be measured after completion of the
measurement and switch off the DMM.
