T he Rex-l ignition system features self-diagnostics, the functions of which are inco rporated in the control unit .
NOTE : All fault codes will be erased if the busbar 30 supply is disconnected . The system features th r ee different
con tr ol functions .

til l refuses to start , commence fault tracing
with ope rations N5-N6 and proceed to N8 - Nl0 .

If timing is incorrect :
1. Check throttle swi tch (see NS and N7).
2. Check
that pulse generator leads are wired correctly
to c onnector at bulkhead (s ee w i ring diagram) .
3. Open
diagnostic un it cover and co nnect lead to
socket 6.
Sw itch on igni tion.
Select c
ontrol funct io n 1 and display fault codes (if
any ). Press pushbutton for more than 1 second and
count number of flashes. Record and press again to
di splay next fault code (3 in alii. Consult table ( N4 )
for interpretation of fault codes.
Code
111 indicates that no faults are present. Check
fuel
system .
If
lamp d oes not light when button is pressed, or if
no fault code is displayed , proceed to Nl l -N17 .
