Connecting to the electricity source
Each system module requires a separate, grounded power source. The ground
connection in all power outlets must be common and physically close to the
system.
To connect to the electricity source:
Recommendation: Use a line conditioner and uninterruptible power supply
(UPS) for optimum, long-term, input voltage stability.
Sample manager event-out/event-in connections:
Signal connections Description
Inject Start Out Indicates (with a contact closure output) that an
injection has started.
Inject Hold In Delays the next injection when the sample manager
receives a contact closure input (from another
system module, for example).
Warning: Avoid electrical shock:
Use power cord SVT-type in the United States and HAR-type or
better in Europe. For other countries’ requirements, contact your
local Waters distributor.
Power-off and unplug each system module before performing any
maintenance operation on the module.
Connect each system module to a common ground.
