    • P
      paul99Sep 12, 2025
To address flare-ups on your Weber Grill, ensure you preheat with all burners on HI for 10 to 15 minutes. Clean the cooking grates and Flavorizer® bars thoroughly to remove burned-on grease. Also, clean the bottom tray to ensure grease can flow into the catch pan.

      Bobby LewisSep 8, 2025
If your Weber Grill loses heat when cooking in cold weather (50°F or colder), check for frost or ice on the outside of the LP tank. If present, turn off the burner control knobs and the LP tank. Replace the current tank with a spare LP tank to resume cooking.

Why does my Weber Grill burner have a yellow flame and smell like gas?
    • N
      Nathan LeeAug 23, 2025
A yellow or orange flame, along with a gas smell, indicates a potential issue. This could be due to a blockage in the holes. To resolve this, clean the spider/insect screens. Other solutions include straightening the fuel hose and cleaning the burners. Also, make sure to hold the control knob in for two seconds after snapping the igniter and seeing the orange flame from the burner lighting tube. If problems persist, manually light the burner.

    • M
      Matthew HebertSep 4, 2025

Why does my Weber Summit E-470 lose heat in cold weather?
    • A
      Alicia CookSep 3, 2025
If your Weber Grill loses heat when cooking in cold weather (10°C/50°F or colder), it may be due to frost or ice on the outside of the LP cylinder. This indicates that the liquid propane is vaporizing too slowly to supply the burners. Turn off the burner control knobs and the LP cylinder, then replace it with a spare LP cylinder to resume cooking.

Why is the inside of my Weber Grill lid peeling?
    • H
      Heather WallaceSep 2, 2025
The inside of your Weber Grill lid may appear to be peeling, but it is not paint. The lid is porcelain enamel or stainless steel. The peeling look is due to baked-on grease that has turned to carbon and is flaking off. This is not a defect. To resolve this, clean the lid thoroughly.

    • A
      April BryantSep 1, 2025
Flare-ups in your Weber Grill can occur for several reasons: * The grill may not be preheating correctly: Ensure all burners are on HI for 10 to 15 minutes during preheating. * The cooking grates and FLAVORIZER BARS may be heavily coated with burned-on grease: Clean them thoroughly. * The slide-out grease tray may be dirty, preventing grease from flowing into the catch pan: Clean the slide-out grease tray.
