What to do if the burner on my Weber Summit E-470 Grill won't light or has a low flame?
    • D
      Daniel LopezAug 30, 2025
If the burner on your Weber Grill does not light or the flame is low in the HI position, first, check if the LP fuel is low or empty and refill the LP cylinder if needed. Next, inspect the fuel hose for any bends or kinks and straighten it. If the burner still doesn't light, try cleaning the burners. Also, make sure to hold the control knob in for two seconds after snapping the igniter and seeing the orange flame from the burner lighting tube.

      Christina AlvarezAug 28, 2025
If the burners on your Weber Grill do not light, have a small flickering flame in the HI position, or if the barbecue temperature only reaches 250° to 300° in the HI position, the excess flow safety device may have activated. To reset it, turn off all burner control knobs and the cylinder valve. Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder. Turn burner control knobs to HI and wait at least one minute. Then, turn the burner control knobs to OFF. Reconnect the regulator to the cylinder and slowly turn the cylinder valve on.
