Check the drain tube connection and fix /
clean it if necessary.
Reversed wires in the foamed
cabinet? Cabinet wires related to
thermo-fuse brown and black wires
(side A in picture below / not at the
bimetal side B) could be reversed in
the foam: in this way, the evaporator
fan is activated instead of the defrost
heater (and the opposite). To check it,
follow the procedure.
1) Unplug the appliance
2) Remove the evaporator cover (in the
freezer compartment)
3) Disconnect only the thermo-fuse wiring
(in picture below)
4) On the cabinet, check the signal
between the black wire (Pin 8) on the Main
Board and the pin related to black wire of
the thermo-fuse (wire num. 2 in picture).
If no signal, it means that the wires are
reversed in the foamed cabinet. You have
to cut the thermo-fuse black and brown
wires (num. 1 and 2 in picture) and to
invert them.
Drain tube clogged or
disconnected? The outcoming tube to
the drip tray could be blocked or
disconnected from the evaporator tray.
This could generate ice formation on
the evaporator.
