6.12 Plumbing System
The intake and discharge of water is integral to several of the features and accessories provided on your
boat, including livewells, shboxes, sanitaon devices, and water systems. World Cat installs the plumbing
components for these systems using high quality marine hoses and stainless clamps. However, this does not
eliminate the need for roune checks of plumbing components or connecons. A failure resulng from a
deteriorated hose or connecon could cause your boat to take on water or become swamped. Informaon
is provided in Chapter 10 of this manual, regarding the locaon, funcon, and roung for the plumbing
components on your boat. Review these materials and talk with your dealer should you have a queson.
NOTICE
While underway, leaving your livewell seacock open could result in inadvertently lling your livewell.
To prevent this, close the seacock when the pump is not in operaon.
NOTICE
Operang the engines in reverse can cause excessive venlaon near the livewell intake, causing the
pump to airlock. To prevent this, turn the pumps “OFF” prior to any connuous or high speed reverse
operaon. If your pump does becomes air locked, turn the pump “OFF” for 15 to 30 seconds to
correct the problem.
