4-6-2 Accident disaster
When the crane gets an accident and its door
cannot be opened for escape, the driver can use the
reserved breaking hammer to break the glass of
enter close to get away from the danger.
1. High altitude drop: Avoid moving as
blind as a bat so that no second injury will be
caused. Press the major vascular of injured part
to avoid any massive haemorrhage and dial
emergency phone immediately to get help from
local emergency center.
2. Electric shock: If the crane touches a live
wire or cable, the person in the cab shall not get
away and shall
warn other people to stay away
from the hoisting machineries and not to touch
any part of hoisting machineries, ropes or items.
In the condition that no one comes near to the
hoisting machineries, the driver shall try to start
the hoisting machinery by himself until the motive
power wire or cable breaks away from the hoisting
machinery. If the hoisting machinery cannot be
started, the driver shall stay in the cab. Think of a
way to notify the power supply department right
away. Before confirming to be in a safe state,
do not take any actions. If the fire is caused by
electric shock or other factor, leave the cab and
try to jump away from the hoisting machinery
as possible as you can. The human body shall
not touch the hoisting machinery and the ground
at the same time. Notify the engineer who takes
relevant responsibility for the engineering project
or relevant management at site. Before getting any
assistance, someone shall stay nearby the crane to
alarm the dangerous situation to others.
3. Fire disaster: When the crane gets a fire,
the operator shall stop the hoisting operation
right away and leave the site immediately and
dial the local fire reporting phone at the same
time. The fire extinguisher stored in the crane
can be used to save him in advance before the
rescue worker gets to the site on the condition
that this action will not get his life in danger.
Construction instructions
After the accident, carefully check whether all
the parts, instruments and meters and safety
devices are operating smoothly before starting
the crane again.
