Scanning from the TWAIN Interface
The instructions in this section are for scanning with the TWAIN
interface from the PaperPort application. If your computer is
running Windows XP or Me, you can also scan with the Windows
Image Acquisition (WIA). See “Scanning with the Windows Image
Acquisition” on page 98.
To scan an item using PaperPort:
1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start, point to Programs, point
to ScanSoft PaperPort, then click PaperPort.
The PaperPort desktop opens.
2. Click the Scan icon on the PaperPort command bar.
NOTE: You can also use the TWAIN interface when you’re
scanning from the One Touch software. Use the One Touch
configuration Configure Before Scan, with the selected option
set to TWAIN. In that case, the TWAIN interface opens right
away, and you don’t have to open PaperPort first. See the
section “Configuring Before Scanning” on page 60 for details.
