Communication
The drive and the sump status and health can be monitored remotely. There are some
parameters that are suitable for remote control. The drive is not designed to have external
equipment, or let external equipment control the activities in the sump. Examples of
parameters that are suitable to monitor remotely are:
water level
frequency
current consumption
drive temperature
trip log
alarm log
Example of parameters that are suitable for remote control are:
start level
stop level
maximum frequency
minimum frequency
The drive communicates natively using Modbus RTU. If a SCADA system requires another
protocol, then a gateway is needed. The gateway Flygt MyConnect is preconfigured to let
the drive communicate with the SCADA system Aquaview 7 over Aquacom protocol, or
Modbus RTU with other SCADA systems. APP700 and MultiSmart are products that can
also be used to communicate with the drive from SCADA systems.
