Ground continuity
verification
A ground (earth) continuity test must always be performed after service.
Preventive maintenance
Some of the product parts are subject to wear and have to be replaced with regular
intervals to minimize untimely operation interruptions.
Fans
Internal IP55 and IP66 fans and external heat sink fans have to be replaced every three
years. If external fans are exposed to large quantities of dust, they must be replaced more
often.
Capacitors
The DC-link capacitors are designed to operate throughout the lifespan of the product 10
years or 25 000 hrs for most applications. If external conditions like phase voltage
balance, temperature and duty cycle are extreme it is recommended to schedule service
of the DC-link capacitors after 5 years.
Inspection
Service item Action
Terminal Make sure that all terminals are connected correct with correct torque and that power terminals
do not show signs of excessive heating.
Cable Make sure that the cable requirements are followed in accordance to recommendations and
that the cable gland is tightened to provide sufficient strain relief.
Heat sink Clean the heat sink from dust and debris.
Panel, if used Make sure that:
• the fans operate correctly
• the filter is clean
• the heater works
• the panel does not have signs of corrosion or condensation
Supply voltage Make sure that the measured supply voltages are within the specification.
Toroid For products of size 2 and 3, control that the toroid filter is mounted correct.
