Crank the engine 5 seconds.

6. Continue cranking the engine for about
5 seconds, checking for abnormal
sounds.
If you cannot find any abnormal
sounds, push the power switch and turn
off the engine.

Never touch or allow your
clothes to touch the moving
parts of the engine during
operation. If a part of your
body or clothing is caught in
the front drive shaft, V-ribbed belt, propeller
shaft, etc. serious injury may result.
Check to see that no tools, pieces of
cloth, etc. are left on or around the
engine.
