NOTICE
Contact your authorized Yanmar Marine
engine dealer or distributor if the engine
will be operated outside of this standard
temperature range.
Never engage the starter motor while the
engine is running. Damage to the starter
motor pinion and / or ring gear will result.
STARTING THE ENGINE
1. Open the seacock (if equipped).
2. Open the fuel tank cock.
3. Put remote control handle in
NEUTRAL.
Note: Safety equipment should make it
impossible to start the engine in
any other position than
NEUTRAL.

4. Turn on the battery switch (if equipped).
Do not turn off the battery switch during
engine operation. Also, turn it off when
the engine does not operate.
5. If the alarm buzzer and all alarm lamps
operate when you turn on the power
switch on the instrument panel, the
warning devices operate correctly.
6. Pushing the start switch turns on the
engine. Release the switch after the
engine starts. If the alarm lamps and
the alarm buzzer stops operating, the
warning devices operate correctly.
