To configure the search priority of the list via CommPortal phone configurator:
1. Click on Features->Search Source List in Dialing.
2. Select the desired priority from the pull-down list of Local Directory Priority.
The default value is 1.
3. Select the desired priority from the pull-down list of History Priority.
The default value is 2.
4. Select the desired priority from the pull-down list of Remote Phone Book Priority.
The default value is Disabled.
5. Select the desired priority from the pull-down list of LDAP Priority.
The default value is Disabled.
6. Click Save changes to accept the change.
7. Perform auto provisioning on the phone to download above configurations. For more
information on how to perform auto provisioning, refer to Downloading Configuration Files
on page 11.
To search for an entry in the enabled search source lists:
1. Press .
2. Enter a few continuous characters of the entry’s name or continuous numbers of the entry’s
phone number (office, mobile or other number) using the keypad.
The entries in the enabled search source lists whose name or phone number matches the
characters entered will appear on the LCD screen. You can press or to scroll to
the desired entry, and then place a call to the entry.
Note
If Remote Phone Book and LDAP are not configured in advance, you cannot search contacts in
these lists on the phone user interface.
