Getting Started
This chapter provides the following basic installation instructions and information for obtaining
the best performance with the CP860 IP conference phone. Topics include:
Phone Installation
Setup Wizard
Phone Status
If you require additional information or assistance with your new phone, contact your system
administrator.

If your phone has already installed, proceed to Setup Wizard on page 7.
This section introduces how to install the phone:
1) Connecting the Network and Power
2) Connecting the Optional Expansion Microphone CPE80
3) Connecting the Optional USB Flash Drive
4) Connecting the Optional PC or Mobile Device
Connecting the Network and Power
You have two options for power and network connections. Your system administrator will advise
you which one to use.
AC power (Optional)
Power over Ethernet (PoE)
AC Power (Optional)
To connect the AC power:
1. Connect the DC plug on the power adapter to the DC5V port on the phone and connect the
other end of the power adapter into an electrical power outlet.
