Installation
•All wiring shall comply with Canadian Electrical
code Part I and Local Electrical Codes.
• General purpose equipment connected to barrier
must not use or not generate more than 250 Vrms or
Vdc.
• The safety barriers and intrinsically safe apparatus
connected with BT200 must be certified by CSA.
•Associated apparatus manufacturer’s installation
drawing must be followed when installing these
intrinsically safe apparatuses.
•Not a warning label worded:
“SUBSTITUTION OF COMPONENTS MAY
IMPAIR INTRINSIC SAFETY” and “TO PRE-
VENT IGNITION OF A HAZARDOUS ATMO-
SPHERE, BATTERIES MUST ONLY BE
CHANGED IN AN AREA KNOWN TO BE
NONHAZARDOUS” and “USE IN ACCOR-
DANCE WITH INSTRUCTION MANUAL IM
1C0A11-01E”.
• The battery used in BT200 must be as follows.
