NOTE
Length of link inside control unit is set at factory
and does not require adjustment. If link is
replaced, adjust length (ball to ball) to approx.
75 mm, and install on control unit and element
connections (use unpainted holes). If control unit
alignment cannot be made, adjust length of link
and repeat alignment procedure.
5.10 ToOperateWithDerivative
Unit Removed
NOTE
When using the control unit as Model MC43-A2,
-A4 or -B4 after removal of the derivative
assembly, replace the replay manifold with
F9123RK (JIS connection) or F9123RL (ANSI
connection) type one.
1. Remove the two small Phillips-head mounting
screws and lift out derivative assembly.

2. Remove tubing from both connections of
derivative assembly, and remove lower
tubing from tee. Connect upper tubing to tee.
Remove derivative assembly from case.

3. Remove tubing from both connections of
derivative assembly. Connect these 2 ends
together (use coupling, Part C0128NE).
Remove derivative assembly from case.

1. Disconnect measurement link at control unit.
2. Fasten measurement pointer to dial at midscale
with paper clip.
3. Set reset adjustment at 0.01, and derivative
adjustment (if present) at 0.05.
4. Apply 140 kPa air to controller.
5. Adjust set point knob (or remote set point, if
present) so that output on gauge is 60 kPa.
Adjust reset (if present) to 50. In sector being
used (white or black) set proportional band dial
at 0%. Note reading of set point index.
6. Repeat Step 5 with dial at 100% in same sector.
If positions of setting index differ by more than
2% of scale, or if either index position is more
than 2% of scale away from midscale, controller
requires alignment.
