Check the Physical Appearance
  Do not use the instrument if there is a problem with its 
physical appearance.
During Insulation Resistance Measurement
  A high voltage is present at the probes during insulation 
resistance measurement. Do not touch the DUT or the 
earth or line terminal.
Immediately After Insulation Resistance Measurement
  The probes or the DUT may remain highly charged. 
Do not touch them immediately after the completion of 
measurement.
Measure Properly
• Donotapplyavoltagethatexceeds600V(voltageto
ground) to the instrument.
• Donotapplyavoltageexceedingtheupperlimit.
Measurement Category
 ThisinstrumentisratedtoCATIII600V.Donotusethe
instrument in locations that exceeds this category.
Probes
• UsethededicatedprobessuppliedbyYokogawafor
this instrument.
• Donotuseprobesthathavedeterioratedorare
defective.
• RemovetheprobesfromtheDUTbeforeattaching/
detaching the probes to/from the instrument.
Case Insulation
 Donotusetheinstrumentifithasbeensubjectto
strong shock as a result of dropping it or hitting it against 
anotherobject.Theshockcandestroytheprotective
insulation. Contact your nearest YOKOGAWA dealer for 
repairs.
