Operating the Ice Resurfacer
Excessive Loads
Taking too deep a cut with the shaving blade while driving the machine at it's full ground
speed may place an excessive load on the engine. The engine RPM is maintained with only
a small RPM drop while resurfacing normally. With an excessive machine load, the engine
RPM may drop excessively which will cause the operation of the machine to suffer. If the
engine RPM is dropping excessively, reduce the load of the machine by:
Slowing the ground speed of the machine by lifting the foot pedal.
Reducing the depth of cut.
