Conditioner Down Pressure
The purpose of the conditioner down pressure system is to create downward pressure on
the shaving blade thus increasing the shaving capability of the machine.
Down Pressure Spring Adjustment Procedure
• Lift Conditioner slightly off of the ground, just so it clears the oor.
• Loosen lock nut A.
• Loosen set screw B and tighten against spring "hand tight". Tighten with a
wrench 3 to 4 complete revolutions.
• Tighten lock nut A.
• Repeat above procedure on opposite side.
Spring tension is now set for proper down pressure in operating mode. NOTE: Periodically
check the condition of the down pressure springs (Part No. 1L-67540) to insure that they
have not attened out and taken a permanent set.
To extend spring life, the conditioner should be lowered between resurfacings onto oor
blocks without applying down pressure (machine should not lift).
