BASIC SERVICE INFORMATION
Accumulator battery "negative" terminal must be always connected to ground and
"positive" terminal to alternator. A vice versa connected accumulator battery can
destroy the complete semiconductor equipment of alternator. When starting the
tractor by means of an auxiliary accumulator battery, always connect the "positive" to
"positive" and the "negative" to "negative”. Use the battery cut-off switch to
disconnect the battery from the tractor ground (-), when replacing any part of the
charging circuit to avoid possible short circuit on connectors.
At any manipulation or repair of starter motor the battery negative terminal
must be disconnected and all shifting levers including PTO lever must be
shifted to neutral to avoid spontaneous starting and serviceman’s life hazard.
Starting of tractor by short circuit of starter connectors is forbidden.
Tractor must be always started from driver’s seat.
