PTO DRIVE OF AGRICULTURAL MACHINES
E354 E355 E356
REAR PTO SHAFT - ENGAGEMENT
OF DEPENDENT AND INDEPENDENT
SPEED
Shifting is made with the lever (1) on
tractor at standstill.
a -
independent speed of PTO shaft
(PTO shaft speed depends on
the engine speed)

n -
neutral position
Use it to make the attachment of
the agricultural machine cardan
shaft easier. The end of the rear
PTO shaft is easy to rotate.

b -
dependent speed of PTO shaft
(engine speed and sense of
rotation depends on the shifted
gear speed and position of the
reversing lever)
REAR PTO SHAFT - SHIFTING OF 540
AND 1,000 RPM OR 540E OF THE PTO
SHAFT
Shifting is made with the lever (1) on
tractor at standstill.
As standard the tractor is equipped with
combination of 540 and 1,000 rpm of the
PTO shaft and as option the tractor may
be fitted with combination of 540 and
540E rpm of the PTO shaft.
a -
1,000 rpm or 540E rpm
n -
neutral
b -
540 rpm
Shifting of 540 and 1,000 (or
540E) rpm is possible regardless
of the installed splines of the shaft
end. The PTO shaft speed and
the shaft end must be selected
according to the prescribed speed
of the implement.
FRONT PTO SHAFT
The front PTO shaft is fitted with fixed
21-spline end and speed 1,000 rpm.
On customer’s wish the tractor may be
fitted with the front PTO shaft with vari-
ous directions of rotation:
a - identical with the direction of engine
rotation (standard)
b - opposite direction to engine speed
(∗ on customer’s wish)
