MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

OIL LEVEL CHECK AND OIL CHANGE
IN GEARBOX, AXLE FINAL DRIVE
HOUSING, AND REAR AXLE FINAL
TRANSMISSION (PORTALS)
Check the oil level in transmission by
means of the dipstick integrated in the
cap of filler hole (a), which is located at
the left-hand rear part of the axle final
drive housing.
A - Standard oil filling
B - Oil filling, increased by 7 litres
Check the oil level with engine at
standstill. The oil level must be
between dipstick marks.
The damaged or lost cap must be
always replaced with the original
cap only, which will ensure
venting of the axle final drive
housing.
DRAIN AND CHECK HOLES
1. Oil drain plug of gearbox.
2. Oil drain plug of front wheel drive
case.
3. *Check screw of brake chamber.
4. Oil drain plug of axle final drive hou-
sing.
5. Drain plugs of right-hand and left-
hand brake chambers.
1. *Checking and filling screw of half-
axle case (valid for standard portal
setting)
2. Oil drain plug of half-axle case
3. *Check screw of brake chamber
*After removal of the check
screw, the oil level must reach
the lower edge of the check hole.
