STEP 3 Place defibrillation pads on patient
NOTE If the patient is a child and you are using CPR Uni-padz, press
the Child Selection button before placing defibrillation pads on
the patient.
The ZOLL AED 3 defibrillator instructs you to:
• Remove the pad package from the back of the defibrillator and open
the package as shown in the illustrations below.
• Remove all clothing from the patient’s chest. Use the scissors
located on the defibrillation pads package to cut clothing, if needed.
Ensure that the patient’s chest is clean and dry. If the patient has
excessive chest hair, clip or shave the chest hair.
