A. Alwaysusethecorrectlightdieselfuelandengineoil.Makeyourselectiononthe
lowestambienttemperaturewhereyouaretodothework.Refertothetablebelowfor

B. Allmechanicalcomponentsareinabreak-instateduringinitialcraneoperation(less
than100operatinghours).Youmustfollowthebelowinstructionsduringthistime
period:

Keeptheworkloadandworkspeedatthespecifiedrange.
l Themaximumliftcapacityshouldnotbelargerthan80%oftherateone.
l
Donotoperatethecraneataspeedthatismorethanthemaximumlimits.
C. Makesurethatyoudoalloftheworkonlevelgroundthatishard.Thegroundmust
holdmorethantheloadbearingcapacity(permissiblegroundpressure ≥ 507.6psi
(3.5MPa).Usematerial(suchaswoodentimbers)belowtheoutriggerfloatsifthe
workareaissoftornotflat.
D. Beforeyouoperatethecranethatissupportedonoutriggers,allwheelsmustnot
touchtheground.Before"Ontireslifts",makesurethatyoualignthecranewheelsto
themiddle.
E. Donotoperatethecraneifthetemperatureatthejob-siteismorethan-4℉ to104℉
(-20℃ to+40℃).
F. Ifwindspeedisgreaterthanthepermissiblevalueof45ft/s(13.8m/s),whilethe
craneisinoperation,dothetasksthatfollow:
