6.10 DoS Attack Screen
Activate protection against DoS attacks. DoS (Denial of Service) attacks can flood your Internet
connection with invalid packets and connection requests, using so much bandwidth and so many
resources that Internet access becomes unavailable.
To access this screen, click Router > Firewall > DoS Attack.

The following table describes the labels in this screen.
Private IP This field displays the inside IP address of the server.
Enter the inside IP address of the virtual server here.
Private Port A private port is a port that causes (or triggers) the LTE4506 to record the IP address of the LAN
computer that sent the traffic to a server on the WAN.
Enter the port number/range of the private in this field.
Global Port A global port is a port that a server on the WAN uses when it sends out a particular service. The
LTE4506 forwards the traffic with this port to the client computer on the LAN that requested the
service.
Enter the global port number or range in this field.
Protocol This field displays the protocol (TCP, UDP, TCP+UDP) used to transport the packets for which you
want to apply the rule.
Action Click Edit to go to the screen where you can edit the port forwarding rule.
Click Delete to remove the port forwarding rule.
Apply Click this button to save your changes back to the LTE4506.
Reset Click Reset to reload the previous configuration for this screen.

Select the check box to protect against DoS attacks. The LTE4506 will drop sessions that surpass
maximum thresholds.
