4.3.1 Setting your WRE6505 v2 to Repeater Mode
1 To use your WRE6505 v2 as a repeater, see Section 3.1.1.1 on page 20.
2 Connect your computer to the LAN port of the WRE6505 v2.
3 Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer and type “http://zyxelsetup” or “http://192.168.1.2”
as the web address in your web browser.
4 Enter “1234” (default) as the password and click Login.
5 Type a new password and retype it to confirm, then click Apply. Otherwise, click Ignore.
Note: You have to log in to the Web Configurator again when you change modes. As soon
as you do, your WRE6505 v2 is already in Repeater mode.
Note: If a client is connected to the WRE6505 v2 through the wired Ethernet connection,
the client can only access the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. In the following figure, the LAN Client
is only able to communicate with devices in the 2.4 GHz wireless network.
